Story of a Film:
Fantomas

What comes to your mind when you hear the word “Fantomas”? The quazi-Bond-ish villain from the French comedies with Louis de Funès and Jean Marais? Or the good guy with quazi-Bond-ish toys and weird hands from the Czech TV series Arabela? This criminal genius first occurred in a popular detective book series by Marcel Allain and Pierre Souvestre and later on in its great, popular film adaptations by the French director Louis Feuillard. His film series from 1913 and 1914 will become our morning companions and guides to the history of early cinema, film series and damn smart filmmaking.
